The All Blacks have named their 31 man squad to travel to South Africa for the second round of the Rugby Championship. There are some notable omissions with Dan Carter and Sonny Bill Williams not making the trip, while Waisake Naholo is injured.
Lima Sopoaga comes into the squad, while James Broadhurst and Codie Taylor get the nod for this trip.
Can we read too much into these selections?
The bigger goal is to win the Rugby World Cup and Steve Hansen and team want to give all 41 wider training squad members a chance to play. Carter and Williams played against both Manu Samoa and Argentina.
It is great having so much depth, but do you have confidence that the All Blacks can win in Johannesburg against South Africa, or is it worth risking losing the Rugby Championship if it means being better prepared for the Rugby World Cup?
